EDD Services for Youth is the youth section on California State’s Employment Development Department (EDD) website. You can find information on government programs to help youth with employment, as well as other helpful links on job training. Learn more at edd.ca.gov.
Youth Employment Opportunity Program
The Youth Employment Opportunity Program (YEOP) provides special services to youth between the ages of 15 and 25 to assist them in achieving their educational and vocational goals. While working with peer advisors, youth clients interact with professional individuals who have similar paths, perspectives, and educational goals by providing referrals to supportive services, workshops, career coaching, employment preparation, and other training and community outreach efforts. Department of Rehabilitation Student Services
The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) provides services that provide support for students ages 16-21 with an Individualized Education Program, 504 plan, or a disability. Services include pre-employment transition services in the areas of job exploration, work-based learning, post-secondary education, work readiness, and self-advocacy. Learn more at dor.ca.gov.
